1885 Battle of Batoche Hoodie
Wear a piece of Métis history.
The 1885 Battle of Batoche Hoodie is an original design by Métis artist Brian Caron, created to honour the courage, resilience, and legacy of the Métis people during the Northwest Resistance.
Featuring Louis Riel and Gabriel Dumont, this artwork brings together some of Batoche's most recognizable symbols, including the Batoche Church, the Red River cart, the Métis infinity symbol, and traditional Métis floral artwork. Every element was carefully illustrated to tell the story of a people who stood together to defend their homeland, culture, and way of life.
This design holds deep personal meaning. Brian's grandfather, Lionel Caron, was born and raised in Batoche, and the Caron family has roots that stretch back to the original Métis community. This hoodie was created not only as a work of art but as a tribute to the homeland and the generations who came before us.
Made from a premium heavyweight hoodie, it's designed for comfort, durability, and everyday wear while proudly celebrating Métis history and identity.
